Benito Guzman Jr. can be a member of the New Jersey Education Association
PATERSON, NJ, June 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ — Benito Guzman Jr., Principal at the Paterson Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.
At the Paterson Public Schools, Mr. Guzman is responsible for overseeing 837 students and 120 staff members. He manages student safety, handles a spending budget and ensures that educational standards are met; he organizes new programs, and unique education and self-contained classroom curriculum. Coordinating with two vice principals, Mr. Guzman also develops strategies for retraining teachers in English and language arts.
A disabled Vietnam veteran, Mr. Guzman formerly served inside the United States Marine Corps. With 25 years of professional knowledge, he attributes his good results towards the support he received from his parents.
In 2003, Mr. Guzman received a Master of Arts in Urban Education, with a concentration in Educational Administration and Supervision, from New Jersey City University. A member for the New Jersey Education Association, he is affiliated with the New Jersey Association of School Administrators along with the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association.
Aiming to enhance learning for all grade levels, the Paterson Public Schools fosters high expectations and promotes positive attitudes in a safe and nurturing environment. The district is developing a program to supply its community with medical, dental, and mental health services.
